Tuesday, December 16 – Winter Concert, 7pm – Come hear festive music, take part in the silent auction, and stay for a reception following! (watch for a note from Mrs. Sword about items needed for the reception.)

December 22 – January 2 – Winter Break!

Wash your water jugs!

This is a good time to wash your water jug, dry it really well, and put it away for future use.  You may want to check the lost and found in the band hall if yours is missing.

Reminder for sophomores and juniors: the water jug that was issued to you is part of the uniform and is expected to stay with you throughout your time in marching band.  If you need a replacement water jug at any time in the future, you may purchase one for $15.

This is also a good time to air out your vipers, wash your gloves, socks, wicking shirt and maybe put them away in a place where you will find them again next year – don’t laugh, we know some of you will leave them in corner of your closet until next year. But, worst case, you can always order new stuff at registration in June.

Special thanks to Ms. Ming and her uniform crew for keeping everyone outfitted this year!

Once the donations are received, Mrs. Sword will be helping to create beautiful baskets of items wrapped with marvelous bows – all available for your bidding pleasure at the winter concert (proceeds from the auction benefit the band council and will help reduce the cost of the spring banquet tickets).

We invite parents to donate additional items for the auction – handmade crafts, baked goods, gift certificates, etc. Also, if you have tissue paper, baskets, holiday boxes/tins/etc, ribbon, or any items that could be used as filler for the baskets, please bring those as well.  All donations are put to use!

Band Spring Trip

Spring Trip information has been distributed!  Pick up an information sheet and contract in the band hall.

The band is going to the Rocky Mountains from April 16th – 20th.

The non-refundable deposit is due on Friday, December 5th Monday, December 8th!!

All band dues must be paid in full to be eligible for the trip.

Participation in the trip is optional, but is a fabulous educational, recreational, and musical opportunity! Don’t miss it!

Parent chaperones are welcome, too!
