CONCERT SEASON IS IN FULL SWING!
It’s been a busy few weeks around the band hall.
Congratulations to the students who traveled to Midland for the Area Contest, and a round of applause for Sai Singh and Trisha Gonzales who qualified for the All-State Band (Trisha is a 2-time All-Stater!!) and Doug Given as 1st alternate.
More than 20 of our students participated in the Region Band Clinic and Concerts held at THS. Thanks to Ms. Ming and the uniform crew for getting the concert attire ready for them! (please see note below from Ms. Ming about help needed with hemming the concert attire for the full band.)
HEB Honor Band held their clinic and concert at THS last week. Thanks to the quartermasters for working so hard to set up and tear down for both the Region and HEB concerts! And kudos to Mrs. Sword for hosting a fabulous hospitality room both weekends for all of the visiting directors.
Also this past weekend, Sai Sing and Kristin Hodges played with the All-Region Orchestra in a fabulous concert at Arlington High School.
So, what’s next?

Special Note from Ms. Ming
Concert season is here and that means it’s time to get out the dresses & tuxes!
We will be in need of volunteers to hem dresses, as well as tuxedo jackets and pants. If you or a family member are able to hand stitch these items, please drop an email to email@example.com.
In case you’re wondering, dresses are provided for the girls and tuxes provided for the boys consist of jacket and pants. Boys will need to provide their own tuxedo shirt and bow tie. Please let us know if you need suggestions for where to purchase these items.
Please help us thank Anni Wordell for shuttling ALL of the dresses and tuxes back and forth to the dry cleaners over the past two months!!
Thank you! – Melissa Ming
Student profits from the Century Resources fundraiser are posted in Charms!
Spring Trip Payments are posted. Please remember, band dues must be paid in full before any more money can be applied to the trip payments.
Seniors – please check your account. They really do hold diplomas until all fees are paid.
And all students who have outstanding fees will be required to submit a payment before picking up schedules for the third trimester.
