Dear Trinity Band Family,
Booster Club Executive Board elections will be held at the March 3rd meeting. All board positions must be voted on each year. If you have an interest in becoming a member of the board or would like to nominate someone for a position on the board, please contact Melissa Ming who is on the nominating committee, and she will have someone on the committee reach out to all who express interest. (email email@example.com)
If your student has had a growth spurt and will likely need new vipers (marching shoes) next year, please consider donating his/her old marching shoes. All sizes are kept on hand for loaning out during emergencies. Vipers can also double as dress shoes during concert season. When unexpected circumstances arise (and they do!), your student can check in his/her street shoes, and check out a pair of vipers! This is a great service, and we appreciate everyone who is able to contribute. Seniors are welcome to donate shoes, gloves, wicking shirts – we always need extras! And anytime you are out shopping and see a sale on black socks, please consider picking up a pack for the uniform closet. Black socks are priceless year round – they are just as important during concert season!
Wednesday, February 18 – outstanding band dues balances will be sent to the main office. Please check Charms accounts and see if you have any balances that need to be cleared before the next trimester begins. (spring trip balances are not sent to the office – only band dues)
Saturday, February 21 – UIL Solo/Ensemble Contest at Arlington High School ($12.50 entry fees are due if participating); Winter Drumline at Burleson Centennial High School, 2:30pm
Monday, February 23 – Restaurant Night at Chop House Burger; Neugent Scholarship Applications available for Seniors
Friday, February 27 – Trimester Ends (early release); Percussion Ensemble Concert; Winterguard at Byron Nelson High School
Tuesday, March 3 – Booster Meeting, 7pm
Thursday, March 5 – “Spring Break” Concert, 7pm at THS
Saturday, March 7 – Winterguard at Saginaw High School
March 9-13 = SPRING BREAK
Spring Trip and credit balances
If you have a credit balance on your Charms account and would like to apply that balance to your last spring trip payment, please let Ms. Kanellos know (firstname.lastname@example.org).
For those who still have a balance due, band dues must be paid in full before any more money can be applied to the trip payments. The final trip payment is due on March 6th. If you have missed any payments so far, please get caught up right away. Our payments to the trip company have to be made on a regular schedule so your timely submissions are very important.
HEB Ensemble Entry Fees Overdue
If you have not submitted your $6 per ensemble, the charge will be placed on your Charms account. As noted above, accounts with outstanding balances will be placed on the fee and fine list created by the main office.
Volunteer hours can be logged until the end of March and then a new year begins. If you log at least one hour during the year, you are invited to the luncheon!
