Dear Trinity Band Family,
Congratulations to the students and directors for all the hard work preparing for UIL. Your concerts were wonderful!
And thank you to the volunteers who chaperoned each band. Your willingness to give of your time is appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Thursday night to share all the great moments of the past year and look ahead to the next. Since the 2015 marching show will be unveiled at the dinner, let’s wear show shirts to the event. In addition to RED, let’s see what kind of vintage show shirt collection is out there. Less than 24 hours left to purchase tickets for the Italian Dinner!
Mr. Munchrath has to get the final count to Sal at Saviano’s Italian Restaurant/Sal’s Pizza Café so please order your tickets now! Jazz band members will purchase tickets at the $10 student price.
Great food from Saviano’s, terrific music from the Jazz Bands, fun door prizes!
The Band Council will unveil the theme for the band banquet!
Wear a show shirt. See you there.
A special note to parents from Mrs. Leticia Terriquez:
With banquet tickets coming on sale very soon, if you’re a parent who’s never been to the banquet, and you’re wondering if other parents go, let me tell you YES, this is an occasion that parents, close friends and family would truly enjoy. Students sit in separate tables so you don’t have to worry about cramping their style ;-).
Take this last opportunity to celebrate with the band. You won’t regret you did!
Seniors will receive a questionnaire to fill out this week. It will need to be returned with at least one picture by Friday, April 24th. Parents will gather at Mrs. VanDeMark’s home starting on April 27th to create a scrapbook page for each senior to hang in the band hall. (see photo attached of last year’s wall)
Senior parents: start looking for those perfect pictures and plan to come create a page for your child(ren). We provide the supplies! No scrapbooking experience required. Just come and be a part of this special time. If you are a sophomore or junior parent who is crafty, please feel free to stop in and offer assistance with the pages. There’s plenty to be done and all help is appreciated.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY – help the community and help the band at the same time
6Stones Black and Blue Run for Hope will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015. Once again, the Trinity Band has been given the opportunity to sign up for course monitor positions.
